This way you will always know when a new issue goes online.

Again in honor of the Sesquicentennial Celebration of the War Between the States, there is a Civil War Trails feature. actually there are two pieces related to the War between the States as Tom Straka's great article about Harper's Ferry is here too. The piece inclludes some great photos by Pat Straka

That devastating was is a subject that has and will continue to draw writers because of the dramatic potential and historic significance. My newest novel, Under A Bloody Flag, deals with the roots of that war in Kansas and Missouri. It will be followed by the second book, Under a Black Flag, as a series I called War in the West.

Along with Thomas Straks's great article, Persis Granger is giving us a glimpse of life in the Adirondack Mountain and other regular contributors, Barb, Mary Emma, Anne, Leigh and myself have also provided you some great stories this issue. We're also fortunate to have another great White Water Trails tale by talented young Wendy Rubicam.

Along with our great regular comumnists, we have two brand new columnists. Mike Marino will give us a look at life on the road, Route 66, this time, in his Dusty Roads column.

Renee S. Gordon will be doing Renee's Route which will always be rich in history and interesting places. Her initial column will have you singing along as she takes you on a trip--sometimes, happy sometimes sad-- through the Mississippi Delta Blues country.
