greeting guests of the Holiday Tour
St. Augustine's 26 Historic Bed & Breakfast Inns are ablaze with lights, vintage ornaments and treasured family mementos. Many of our Innkeepers are dressed in period costume as they welcome guests to share in the delights of the Holiday Season and explore their parlors, porches, gardens and award-winning accommodations.

St. Augustine's Top restaurants are individually paired with each of the inns. They prepare and serve their signature dishes to benefit our chosen charity, the Police Athletic League (P.A.L.). For 7 years, St. Augustine Historic Inns Association has supported P.A.L's youth programs by donating a significant portion of the Holiday Tour revenue to them. In 2004, the donation totalled $19,500.

The Southeast Tourism Society has acknowledged the Holiday Tour in their selection of the Top 20 Holiday events throughout the SE United States. This year, the St. Augustine Historic Inns are celebrating the tour's 12th Anniversary and for the third time hosting the event for two days. The Red Train provides transportation and a guided tour through each neighborhood while various local singers, musicians & storytellers entertain all who attend.

The admission ticket is a keepsake book, featuring a description of the participating B&B's, a map of the 2005Tour, innkeepers' recipes and a personal welcome from our association President. It includes a calendar of many of St. Augustine's best 2005-6 events. Each guest receives a signature red tote bag that brings an added dimension of camaraderie and visibility to the Tour. Inside each book is a chance to win a free stay at one of the bed & breakfast inns. And a $25 ‘Come Back to An Inn' coupon will be honored for 2006 visits.
